Common Questions

Everything you need to know before signing up.

In Massachusetts, students must be at least 15 years and 9 months old to begin classroom instruction. A valid MA Learner's Permit is required before starting behind-the-wheel lessons.
Yes! We offer early morning, afternoon, and weekend sessions. Our current hours are Monday–Thursday 6am–5pm, Friday 6am–3pm, and Saturday 6am–3pm. Contact us to find a schedule that works for you.
As an RMV-approved school, we can sponsor your road test, which means you test at a neutral location using our school vehicle rather than at a public RMV site with your own car. Many students find this less stressful and more convenient.
The full program includes 30 hours of classroom instruction, 12 hours behind the wheel, and 6 hours of observation. We offer two classroom schedule options: a Regular Session (3 Saturdays & 2 Sundays in a row) or an Accelerated Week ( at ).
Absolutely. Our private lessons are designed for all experience levels, including complete beginners. Our instructors are patient and will start from the basics, building your confidence at a comfortable pace.

Our Policies

What You Need to Know

Please review our policies before booking. These guidelines help us provide a reliable, professional experience for every student.

Behind the Wheel

Lessons may be paid per session or paid in full upfront for a set number of classes. Lessons cannot be paid for after the fact.
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment. Failure to do so will result in a $30 cancellation fee before another appointment can be booked.
All appointments must be confirmed with a pick-up location to verify your time slot.
A $3 processing fee will be added to any payment made through third-party banking apps.

Road Test

Before scheduling a road test through Family Driving School Inc., all payments — including classroom, behind-the-wheel, sponsorship, and road test registration fees — must be up to date.
Cancellation of any scheduled road test must be made 72 hours before the set date to ensure proper communication between all parties.
⚠ Failure to attend a scheduled road test will result in the forfeiture of all road test fees, as payments are made directly to the RMV for our sanctioned road tests.
